Teamwork and Color Models

Creating better attitudes and positive outcomes

Physical Representations of Yellow

People who have yellow personalities tend to have increased blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates. A yellow personality will be more radiant, yet will be noted as more unstable, uninhibited, and unencumbered by worry or doubt. A yellow personality also will be inclined to keep things in order to maintain a harmonious balance.

Psychological Representations of Yellow

A yellow personality is represented by relaxation and the expectation of happiness. Whatever the goals a yellow personality may have the outcome will be an ordered motion forwards to a perfect and harmonious outcome. Yellow presses forward towards the new, the unexplored, and greatest harmonious experiences that life can offer.

Symbolic Representations of Yellow

The welcoming rays of the sun, the haloed glow around the perfect moment, and the spirit of cheerfulness.

Background Information

This interview was conducted with a 56-65 year old widowed female. Her husband died, having a heart attack in the woods, which left her with a large family of six children; two that were hers and four that were his. She was used to large families as she had eleven siblings, six sisters and five brothers.

Her viewpoint on marriage is simple, marry the one you love, but only if it is right. She lived for her husband and his life. She kept the house and children organized and running smoothly. After his death it made things harder, learning to live for herself again, while keeping a job and her family alive.

In general she feels that people are honest and trustworthy, "except for men and sex, they will do anything, but what ever" she said with a laugh. Keeping your attitude positive is important to her and something that is valued.

She is a flexible person with a persistent personality.

Attitude and education

She was never good at school; she always liked to be outside playing so her high school education was average. Late into her adult life she was forced to attend college after being laid off from her job.

She stated that she found it hard to keep herself motivated as she feels that her age is a deterrent to her future success. "I'm so old..." She stated over and over. This makes it harder for her to succeed in her classes.

Attitude and career

When she was working she felt under appreciated; she was simple a number that could be let go at any time. Although when there was a problem she was the one to call for help. "Then they want me..."
