"The Energizer" Red Personalities
Written by David A Sokolik | April 28, 2010
Dealing with a "Red Personality" Page 1
Red personalities are the "energizers" in the home life and the workplace. They long for excitement and need excitement. They will be the ones who want to make the office fun again by organizing the office parties and other events meant to energize moral. At home they will be the ones who want to travel and see the world, stay out late partying and attend all of the social events.
At their best, a red personality is a talker and a leader. They will be the ones who grab the client's attention and won't let it go. They want to be viewed as fun, charming, and above all exiting to be around and they want to spread that feeling with everyone in their lives.
At their worst people may perceive them as aggressive and intimidating. An overly aggressive red personality may give the client "more than they we expecting" as in perks, which the company had no intention of giving, giving away additions that they had no right to add, and negotiating price discounts that aren't feasible. They will have the drive to get the job done, by any means necessary. While a red personality may consider "harmless" flirting a necessary office treat, other may find their behaviors obnoxious, damaging and aggressive.
We need to be aware of limits and we also need to be aware of our own needs for self-esteem. It was apparent though the red interviews that there was a lot of over compensation going on with the interviewees which was unfortunate s both had so much to offer. We owe ourselves the right to be happy; self-motivation happens though self-respect and not over doing our emotions to compensate and entertain others will allow others to care about us as a person.
