Interact Communications is a great marketing company started by Pamela Cox-Otto Ph.D and Kevin Cram, two people dedicated to the success of the two-year college system. Pam created the PODİ (people orientated design) based web site design, a web site strategy that generationally targets specific people with a message that is created especially for them. This multiple web site design is done not only with graphics but navigation that will be understood by the individual viewing the site.
I was a Media Designer for a while, which I found to be both challenging as well as rewarding. My job was to create new designs, or revise outdated designs in a way to attract the client's imagination and interest. Another important job was to observe website quality control, website build ability and the ability to meet 508 web standards. Another important roll was answering questions from clients as well as delivering recommendations for continued progress then implementing the designs into a workable finished objective, destined for web and/or print.
One of my first jobs was updating the branding of Interact Communications to current standards. This included their website design and the marketing communication pieces that were sent to tradeshows. The piece highlighted on this page is the Interact eight-panel brochure, a wonderful piece that highlighted some of our successful designs. It was a great design that emphasized bold colors, thin flowing lines, and the Interact "balls," little orbs that represented the different areas of the company.
I created many pieces for two-year colleges, local organizations, and Interact Communications internal messaging. Have a look in the print section for samples including the virtual "Interact Desktops" which were made for our tradeshow booth. The Interact Desktop posters were both three-by-four foot and turned out very striking to look at. Getting the right feel is vital in branding, it is the identifying force behind pubic perception and public retention.
